Our Asset Integrity Management team are currently looking for an Inspection Services Lead in St. John's.
The Inspection Services Lead will be assisting the Inspection Services Manager in the efficient and effective operation of the inspection and rope access services department of the Company in Eastern Canada.
What will you be doing:

  • Support to Management: Assist the Inspection Services Manager in the overall coordination and strategic direction of inspection activities across Eastern Canada.
  • Operational Coordination: Maintain existing equipment and help with procurement of new and replacement equipment as required.
  • Operational Leadership: Assist in the efficient and effective operation of the in-service inspection function.
  • Procedure Development: Assist in the creation, standardization, and continuous improvement of inspection procedures in compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
  • Competency Assurance: Conduct competency assessments to maintain high standards of inspector qualifications and performance.
  • Technology Integration: Support the evaluation, adoption, and implementation of advanced inspection technologies into ongoing and future projects.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all inspection and rope access activities meet applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
What we think you should have:
  • Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in engineering, or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in oil and gas, mining or related industrial field with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility and authority.
  • Level II certification in MT, PT and UT disciplines of Non-Destructive Testing in accordance with CAN/CGSB-48.9712-2014, or equivalent standard.
  • Level II certification to CSA W 178.2, or equivalent standard.
  • Certification as a Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission Certified Exposure Device Operator.
  • Level III IRATA certification or meeting the requirements to challenge Level III certification would be an asset.
  • Familiar with the processes and procedures applicable to an ISO 9000 environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure in an environment that expects the highest level of customer service, confidentiality and ethical behaviour.
