Role Title
Inside Sales Representative
Purpose of role
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for increasing overall business results by promoting Canada Protection Plan and Foresters Financial products and services. This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of two (2) days/week working from the office.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver training to Financial Advisors on Canada Protection Plan and Foresters Financial products, services, software, as well as the completion of all applications and forms.
Prospecting for clients (calls, leads, referrals), assessing their needs, explaining complex product options (life, and critical illness), benefits, features, and costs
Generating leads through call campaigns, networking, and following up on provided leads
Work in collaboration with Regional Sales Directors in executing a Marketing and Sales Plan for the region to generate sales and develop new business
Building rapport, maintaining long term client satisfaction, and providing excellent service
Use of in-depth knowledge of our products, participating life insurance, and the insurance industry in general, and interpersonal skills to increase sales and onboard new business
Deliver presentations (virtual and in person) that clearly explain life and critical illness products including concepts, benefits, and features
Manage and respond to inquiries through telephone, email, or in person in an accurate, timely, and professional manner
Attend planned events, webinars, and office trainings for advisors during evening and weekend hours, as required
Manage administrative and operational tasks, including quotation preparation, coordination with operations teams, and business settlement
Involved in special projects as required
Key QualificationsEducation (minimum required): Bachelor's degree in a field such as Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics
Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the Financial Industry
Excellent knowledge of life insurance and critical illness products, particularly with participating whole life insurance, and industry trends, and competitor offerings
Strong presentation and public speaking skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to handle a wide variety of advisors professionally
Ability to influence and motivate
Superior organization and planning skills
Proactive and self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
CFP and/or LLQP is an asset
Bilingual is an asset

The actual base salary for this position will depend on several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in a discretionary variable incentive plan, results are subject to both individual and company performance.
