At Summit Valve your hard work does not go unnoticed. We are a Western Canadian based distributor of valves, actuators, and instrumentation products. We need an exceptional Inside Sales Representative to join our team.

What does this mean?



The Inside Sales Representative is one of the primary contacts for existing and potential Customers to request represented product. An Inside Sales Representative is responsible for ensuring proper, appropriate, and timely execution of customer quotes. As a member of the Inside Sales Team, this role may be required to execute or support any tasks related to inside sales from quote to delivery; through appropriate planning and expediting either personally or by supporting colleagues. It is imperative that the person in this role is professional, polite, helpful, and courteous to all Guests, Customers, Colleagues, and Stakeholders. Highly effective organizational skills and reliability are the key to success in this position and growth within the Company.

Inside Sales must ensure that customer requirements are met by facilitating the sales process (in compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS)). This role is responsible for sales in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and BC branches. The job description and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Execution



Primary point of contact for customer inquiries; day-to-day (all product lines), application-specific and custom solutions. Begin to expand responsibility by participating in the execution of complex orders and/or small projects. Work with various vendors to develop complete solutions to customers' needs. Includes assurance of suitability, price, and lead times. Follow Workflows and Work Instructions to ensure accuracy, compliance with QMS, and exceptional customer service. Prepare technical proposals in response to customers' requirements, including sizing, calibration, design, etc. Ensure that customers' quality requirements are met, this includes ensuring the correct supporting documentation is provided.

The successful candidate should have:



Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Engineering Technology, or relevant experience. Minimum 1-3 years experience in insides sales. New graduates with relevant educational background are also encouraged to apply. Previous technical work experience. Previous experience selling some sort of industrial/municipal/commercial products. A strong customer focused mindset. The ability to communicate effectively with customers. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Project Management experience, is an asset. Demonstrated ability to review, identify issues in, and negotiate Terms & Conditions and contracts is a valuable asset. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Accountability, high attention to detail, and best practices approach . Strong communication skills; verbal communication, legible penmanship, and coherent writing and notes (in software). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is considered an asset.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidates with additional relevant experience may be considered for a higher compensation level.
