Established in 1974, Norcan is a complete hydraulic service and sales company with 8 branches throughout Western Canada. We service customers in a variety of industries: Marine, Forestry, Mining, Material Handling, Original Equipment Manufacturing, Agriculture, and Production facilities. We are in a growing industry with a diverse set of skills and abilities that are critical in the operation of industrial and mobile equipment throughout the country. Norcan is the Western Canada distributor for Bosch Rexroth.

Our E-commerce branch is currently searching for an Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This is a full-time position in the specialty field of hydraulics.

The Inside Sales representative is focused on providing customer service for a broad range of repair and part inquiries, over various industries such as Mining, Forestry, Municipal and Marine.

Qualifications and Experience

3+ years experience in a customer service role Ideally 2+ years experience within the hydraulics or similar technical industry Integrity, vision, professionalism, and passion are key components of this position Red Seal Parts Specialist or working towards is an asset Ability to follow, with detail, written and verbal instructions Strong attendance track record with the ability to get along well with others Proficient written and oral communication skills (ability to read and write legibly) Knowledge of components and hydraulic systems used in industry and mobile equipment is an asset Knowledge of distribution sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques are an asset Proven ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers Exceptional verbal, written and listening communication skills Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Must be computer literate with knowledge of all standard Microsoft Office programs

Responsibilities:

Respond to internal and external enquires via phone, e-mail, fax or in person Ensure customer service excellence Great professional customer service skills, including verbal, written Understand our product lines and be willing to learn how to promote them Understand the importance of good follow-up and response time to our customers Procurement of products for orders
