Strassburger Windows and Doors is looking for an experienced Inside Sales Consultant to join our growing and dynamic team. The Inside Sales Consultants help customers to choose from a variety of products, supply product pricing and information. They support our outside sale representatives and dealer network, as well as assisting customers in the showroom. This is a full-time position Monday-Friday, which includes competitive salary, benefits, group RRSP plan, in a supportive and continuous learning environment.
The main duties will include, but are not limited to:
Respond to incoming communications including mail, email, and phone calls.
Establish and build relationships with prospective customers.
Assist walk-in customers by offering product information, and guiding them through the product displays, and documentation in the showroom.
Read and interpret basic house plans/architectural drawings.
Prepare estimates and quotations for customers.
Process customer orders using the appropriate software (e.g. Paradigm.)
Deal with customer requests in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure the showroom is tidy and stocked with marketing material.
Assist when needed with training on Strassburger's products and business software (Paradigm.)
Provide offsite support at trade-related shows and events.
Work with the Service Department to resolve product issues.
Assist Service Department by entering/processing service orders on the computer as required.
Provide reception and administration support as needed.
Follow up on order/shipping inquiries as required.
Provide shipping and after-sales/service administrative support as needed.
Education, Experience & Knowledge:
Completion of secondary school is required
Completion of university degree or of a college or other program an asset
Strong customer service orientation.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility and willingness to pitch in where needed.
Blueprint reading and/or construction experience an asset.
Ability to measure preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel)
Experience/training related to using building industry software (i.e., Paradigm) is an asset.
Experience in sales preferably in an occupation related to the window & door industry
Familiarity with Microsoft suite of products considered an asset
Blueprint reading and/or construction experience considered an asset
