JOB SUMMARY
:
The Inside Sales Representative will report directly to the Vice President, Director of North America. The incumbent will support the business unit in various market segments for North America and the United States. He/she will generate revenue by responding to all requests from regional sales offices of distributors and original equipment manufacturers regarding product selection, application, pricing, lead times, and all other necessary day-to-day information.
He/she will also be responsible for increasing the sharing of ideas at the regional level by establishing good relationships, providing training on products and applications, monitoring marketing campaigns, and managing all administrative aspects of customer accounts from order receipt to customer delivery, including after-sales service. He/she will strive to achieve the overall goal of helping the sales, marketing, and customer service/order management teams meet or exceed the sales and customer satisfaction targets set by the company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer interaction and revenue generation
Seek out new sales opportunities through potential leads from incoming calls and targeted emails.
Research accounts to identify key individuals and generate interest.
Maintain a constantly expanding database of prospects in the assigned territory.
Partner with other channels to build a pipeline and close deals.
Conduct online demonstrations for prospects.
Forward qualified opportunities to sales executives for development and closing.
Answer all customer questions about product selection, availability, and application.
Open and close orders, quality issues, etc. by phone and email.
Convert opportunities into revenue.
Follow up on existing business and submit bids.
Provide pricing and delivery times and issue bids.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
:
D.E.C. or equivalent required.
At least 5 years in a similar position with direct telephone and email contact with sales representatives, manufacturer representatives, distributors, and/or original equipment manufacturers.
Experience in manufacturing/production/technical environment is an asset.
REQUIRED SKILLS
:
Bilingualism in French and English, given the diversity of our clientele and communications with our other divisions. Excellent knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written.
Computer skills, experience using various software programs (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Experience with an ERP system (experience with Odoo would be an asset).
Thorough knowledge of account management practices is essential.
Data entry skills; fast and accurate typing.
