Job Summary



The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) - is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, supporting the sales pipeline, and strengthening customer relationships. This role focuses on lead generation, outbound prospecting, and qualifying opportunities for freight and customs services. The ISR will work closely with sales and operations teams to understand customer logistics needs and promote tailored transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities



Sales & Business Development



Identify, prospect, and generate new sales leads through outbound cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels. Qualify inbound and outbound leads and convert them into sales opportunities. Support the sales team by setting appointments, preparing lead intelligence, and assisting with account development. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers within target industries and trade lanes.

Customer Engagement



Initiate and nurture relationships with potential customers to understand their logistics and supply chain needs. Clearly communicate the company's freight and customs brokerage service offerings. Coordinate with pricing and operations teams to provide service options and preliminary rate guidance. Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects to drive engagement and conversion.

Collaboration & Support



Work closely with outside sales, pricing, and operations teams to develop customized logistics solutions. Ensure accurate handover of qualified leads to the appropriate sales representative. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and lead information in the CRM system.

Market Awareness & Reporting



Stay informed on market trends, trade lanes, and ocean freight conditions. Track sales activities and performance against defined KPIs. Prepare basic reports on outreach activity, pipeline development, and lead conversion.

Qualifications



Education & Experience



Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred. Prior experience in inside sales, sales development, or other customer-facing roles, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry. Experience with logistics services including ocean, air, and road freight and/or third-party logistics (3PL) solutions is a strong asset.

Proven inside sales and lead generation skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Confident, professional phone and email presence. Results-driven, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable using CRM systems, MS Office, and sales tools. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
