We are looking for a dynamic Inside Sales Representative to join our team and help drive sales in the nuts, salty snacks, dried fruit, baking, and oats categories. This role is responsible for managing customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, and supporting sales operations within the CPG sector. The ideal candidate has a passion for food products, a strong sales mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Accountabilities:
Account Management: Develop and maintain relationships with retailers, distributors, and foodservice partners to grow sales in key categories.
Industry Expertise: Leverage knowledge of nuts, salty snacks, dried fruit, baking, and oats to educate customers, recommend products, and identify category trends.
Sales & Lead Generation: Identify new business opportunities through inbound and outbound sales efforts, including prospecting and cold calling.
Order Processing & Follow-Ups: Process customer orders, provide pricing quotes, and follow up on sales inquiries to close deals.
Customer Support: Serve as a primary contact for client inquiries, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive buying experience.
Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer demands to provide insights that drive sales growth.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, supply chain, and product development teams to optimize product offerings and ensure efficient fulfillment.
CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system, track sales performance, and generate reports on key metrics.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 2+ years in inside sales, account management, or customer service within the CPG food industry, preferably with experience in nuts, snacks, dried fruit, baking, or oats.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not required.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with category trends, product specifications, and customer preferences in the snack and baking ingredient segments.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage customers and negotiate deals.
Sales Acumen: Ability to identify customer needs and position products effectively.
Technology Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple accounts.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate across departments and contribute to team success.
