What will you do?


We are looking for a talented and competitive Inside Sales Representative who thrives in a project-based sales cycle environment. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, monitoring and managing leads and contacts within CRM tools, working directly with developers and electrical contractors, prospecting for businesses and contacts within target markets and assisting order processing and back office activities


  • Lead generation and prospecting: inbound lead referrals and outbound \xe2\x80\x9ccold calls\xe2\x80\x9d employing web-based tools
  • Research accounts, identify key players and distribute company, product and application information to generate interest
  • Assist with the management of the commercial contractor market segment and take customer \xe2\x80\x9cownership\xe2\x80\x9d position within the commercial projects team
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of customer/segment forecasts \xe2\x80\x93 financial analysis for revenue/gross margin call, participating in product and supply chain buy/build planning
  • Coordinate account support with the Schneider Electric Sales Applications Engineering, Customer Service, Operations and Logistics, and Finance organizations as required
  • Manage CPA\xe2\x80\x99s and support sales where required for \xe2\x80\x9cowned\xe2\x80\x9d accounts
  • Have the ability to quote small project jobs

  • Engineering degree and/or other Technically related degree, BCIT Tech Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer relations orientation \xe2\x80\x93 focus on making Schneider Electric \xe2\x80\x9cEasy To Do Business With\xe2\x80\x9d
  • Strong, fearless phone presence and experience initiating dozens of calls per day
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Experience with lead generation activities within LinkedIn (specifically Sales Navigator module)
  • Experience in the construction tender process, contract drawings and specifications
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Experience in generating and presenting business analysis and logic to defend/support business decisions to both internal and external constituents
  • Strong degree of accuracy in work, excellent attention to detail
  • Must be able to travel freely within North America if and when required (infrequently)
