What is the role?





The Senior Inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities across North America. This role drives the growth of aluminum product sales by identifying new opportunities, managing leads, and supporting clients with technical expertise. The Senior Inside Sales Representative ensures customer satisfaction through proactive communication and strong relationship management.




What will you do?




Develop a deep understanding of all aluminum products, including their application in various industries, with a focus on automotive and high-margin granulated products across North America;


Identify, pursue, and build relationships with new customers and distribution outlets to expand market presence;

Generate and manage product samples for potential leads and clients, ensuring timely delivery and follow-up on feedback;

Research and identify opportunities for new product variants and applications to meet evolving market needs;

Conduct proactive outreach to potential clients, primarily through phone calls and emails, during initial stages of engagement;

Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and performance data using tracking tools;

Follow-up on sales inquiries and leads promptly, nurturing relationships to drive conversions;

Collaborate with management and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently;

Create and distribute targeted marketing materials and product information to support sales efforts;

Provide regular reports to management on progress, leads and market insights;

Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to existing and prospective customers;
Primarily office-based, with regular visits to the plant to stay familiar with products and operations (PPE must be worn as required when visiting the plant);


Occasional travel to client sites, trade shows, and events within North America;

Frequent contact by phone, email, and virtual meetings; In-person meeting and presentations as relationships develop;
Other duties as required.



What will you need to succeed?




Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is an asset; A minimum of five (5) years of progressive sales experience, preferably within the industrial products or metals sector; Possession of a valid Canadian driver's license; Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally within North America on an occasional basis to meet with clients and attend business functions; Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated strength in negotiation, relationship management, and organizational abilities; Strong understanding of aluminum products, their grades, forms, and industrial applications; Proven ability to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities; Strong negotiation and pricing strategy skills, especially in high-margin and niche markets; Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and web-based platforms; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to understand technical product details; Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues; Demonstrated initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment; Effective time management and multitasking skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and targets.
