Position Summary




The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for supporting customer service, sales activity, and daily operations. This role handles inbound inquiries, processes orders, prepares quotes, assists the outside sales team, and ensures smooth coordination with dispatch and operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detailoriented, customerfocused, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities



Customer Service & Sales Support



Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email in a timely and professional manner. Provide product knowledge and service information for concrete, aggregates/materials, and bin/disposal services. Prepare quotes, follow up with customers, and support the sales pipeline. Maintain and update customer profiles, pricing, and interactions in CRM.

Order Entry & Coordination



Accurately enter job orders including mix designs, quantities, delivery windows, and site requirements. Communicate order confirmations, changes, or updates to customers and internal teams. Coordinate with dispatch to ensure accurate scheduling of trucks, concrete deliveries, and bin drop-offs/pickups.

Operational Support



Verify jobsite details such as access restrictions, timing, equipment needs, and responsible site contacts. Monitor active orders and anticipate delays due to weather, traffic, or plant capacity. Work closely with accounting, operations, and outside sales to ensure smooth workflow.

Additional Responsibilities



Assist with procurement, including reordering materials, consumables, and supplies. Restock shelves and maintain inventory in the office and warehouse/materials area. Maintain a clean, organized workspace, including customer-facing areas. Support the accounting team by gathering missing information (POs, job details, confirmations). Provide backup support to reception or dispatch during peak periods or team absences. Participate in training, product knowledge updates, and internal team meetings. Assist with basic administrative tasks, filing, and document organization as assigned.

Qualifications



1-3 years of inside sales, customer service, or related experience (construction, logistics, or building materials preferred). Strong communication skills and professional phone presence. Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams). Experience with CRM or ERP systems is an asset. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of concrete, building materials, or disposal services is an advantage.
