Square Canada is looking for a high-energy, driven sales professional with sound business insight and strong sales instincts to join our sales team as an Inside-Sales Account Executive in Canada. Your entrepreneurial spirit and passion for problem-solving help you find opportunities for Square to help merchants grow. Your extraordinary communication skills help you connect with customers by email, phone, and through online meetings - quickly establishing trust and rapport.

A successful candidate will have experience driving cross-functional internal teams, be comfortable dealing with uncertainty in a fast-paced environment, and be able to put structure to nebulous problems. You are highly entrepreneurial and have the ability to thrive under minimal guidance.

You will:

Achieve and exceed quarterly goals

Lead the charge in introducing Square to merchants in all verticals: retail, food and beverage, professional services, home & repair etc.

Oversee the sales cycle from prospect to close, maintain strong pipeline hygiene, and partner with other teams to ensure successful onboarding

Embrace change and view a shifting landscape as an opportunity to iterate, evolve and improve on your own process and skillset

Be an innovative, trusted advisor for both clients and internal partners

Successfully collaborate and maintain strong relationships with cross functional partners including SPS, Sales Eng, and Partnerships

Ensure product knowledge is up to date through attending all training and spending time learning the products through demo accounts and other resources

Qualifications

You have:

3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar quota carrying client-facing role

A strong sales process, including clear sourcing strategies (AE/BDR), strong discovery, negotiation, closing skills, and pipeline management

Experience exceeding sales targets, selling a diverse ecosystem of products, and closing complex deals

Business development experience e.g. hunting and cold calling

A collaborative and team player mentality

Salesforce experience

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Canada locations are categorized into one of two zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate\xe2\x80\x99s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: CAD $62,700
Zone B: CAD $60,400
