SUMMARY
The Inside Logistics Sales Representative will be responsible for managing and cultivating new business opportunities for the development of long-term business partnerships by creating superior value for our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for building value for solutions and increasing revenues through strong business relationships. This position requires excellent communication, effective time management and ability to work with a team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contact potential, existing or inactive customers to sell services through inside sales efforts (i.e., telemarketing or written correspondence)
  • Qualify new customers by matching their needs (locations, products, objectives, etc.)
  • Manage long sales cycles with constant customer follow up
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service by serving as a liaison between the customer and operations
  • Communicates with the Business Development Manager and dispatchers to assess and distribute current information on the development and needs of customers
  • Obtain credit approval on customers\' loads by verifying current credit status and work with the credit department as needed
  • Communicate with customers and company personnel to answer questions and investigate/resolve problems as needed
  • Create, communicate, and update SOP\'s required by the customer or operations to ensure site and safety compliance
  • Work with inside sales on the in progress and preassigned loads in a proactive manner
  • Maintain constant communication with customers, drivers, management and fellow employees to ensure complaints and conflicts are identified and resolved
  • Nurture customer relationships in order to maintain good customer service
  • Interpret and resolve complaints or disagreements from drivers and customers concerning loads, schedules, or other relevant conflicts which arise
  • Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customer\'s issues or problems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Willing and able to travel (includes overnight travel)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Business Administration Certificate or Diploma preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years of sales experience required

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL ABILITY
  • Indoor working environment
  • Ability to remain seated for long duration
  • Ability to exert force of less than 5kg
