(NVD), the largest hospitality company in the Yukon, is seeking a hands-on

Innkeeper

to lead the day-to-day operations at the Bedrock Motel in Mayo, Yukon.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and connection with people. This autonomous role allows you to take ownership of the motel - from greeting guests to ensuring spotless rooms and well-kept grounds - while operating within the structure and support of NVD's broader hospitality portfolio.

Guests feel at home the moment they arrive - You create a welcoming environment that leaves travelers feeling cared for and confident they chose the right place to stay. Operations run seamlessly every day - Reservations, check-ins, and reporting happen on time and without issue - guests notice the professionalism, not the process. Rooms and spaces reflect pride of place - Every room is spotless, every detail checked, and the property reflects the same care you'd give your own home. You keep the property humming - Small repairs are handled promptly, larger maintenance is coordinated smoothly, and the grounds always look inviting. Guests remember the people as much as the place - Your friendliness and consistency turn one-time guests into repeat visitors and positive reviews. You are an ambassador - You engage positively with community members, local partners, and visitors - strengthening the connection between NVD and the town you represent. The business stays strong and accountable - Budgets, reporting, and communications with head office are accurate and timely, helping the whole NVD team stay aligned. You're part of something bigger - You strengthen NVD's reputation for dependable hospitality in Yukon communities and contribute directly to local success.

What You Bring to The Role



Experience handling guest-facing, administrative, and housekeeping duties. Experience in hospitality, guest services, or small-property management. Experience using hotel reservation systems is an asset. Self-reliant: Manages daily operations and solves problems independently. Organized: Maintains clear systems, accurate records, and high standards. Guest-focused: Delivers warm, professional service in every interaction. Adaptable: Handles varied tasks and changing priorities with ease. Community-minded: Builds positive local relationships and represents NVD with pride. Prepared: Understands northern living, safety, and operational readiness. Integrity: Demonstrates integrity to manage the property in a reliable and trustworthy manner.

Job requirements: Willingness to live in a remote setting and travel within Yukon.

Conditions of Employment: Class 5 driver's license, WHMIS, First Aid and Propane Dispensing certification (may be obtained post-hire)
