Injection Molding Operator



As a member of the ZF Lifetec Midland Plant 1 Production Department, the Injection Molding Operator is responsible for operating multiple injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts. This role involves monitoring production, handling incoming and finished materials, performing quality checks, and ensuring safety and efficiency in the manufacturing process.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):



Ensure continual flow of incoming raw material to the process Operate injection molding machines according to production specifications. Monitor machine performance to maintain product quality. Inspect molded parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Ensure proper packaging and disposition of finished parts Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area. Document production data and escalate any issues to supervisors. Assist with mold, insert and resin / colorant changes, and machine setups as needed. Follow all safety protocols and company procedures. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Provide support during shutdown periods

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:



Previous experience in injection molding or manufacturing preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and instructions. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to visually inspect and detect cosmetic flaws Ability to differentiate colour to product requirements Standing, bending, and walking for long periods. Exposure to noise, heat, and plastic odors in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.42-$27.42 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
