Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics injection molding and possess mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain various machinery. This role is essential for ensuring the production of high-quality plastic components while adhering to safety and efficiency standards.

Duties

Operate and monitor injection molding machines to produce plastic parts according to specifications. Conduct quality inspections of finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including troubleshooting issues with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and other automated systems. Utilize hand tools and fabrication techniques to make adjustments or repairs as needed. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes, implementing lean manufacturing principles where applicable. Handle materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organization within the warehouse environment. Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, and quality control measures. Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety protocols.

Experience

Proven experience in plastics injection molding or related manufacturing processes is highly desirable. Familiarity with CNC machining, including CNC lathe operation, is a plus. Experience with plastics blow molding, extrusion processes, and press brake machines will be considered an advantage. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Knowledge of materials handling practices and warehouse operations is beneficial. Basic math skills are required for measurements and calculations related to production tasks. Pay: $18.70-$35.66 per hour
