Responsibilities

Manage and oversee external counsel, including selecting firms and controlling legal budgets Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance to executives, managers, and internal departments Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and corporate documents Identify and assess legal risks across business operations and propose mitigation strategies Ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards Support corporate governance, including board materials, resolutions, and meeting minutes Conduct legal research on issues affecting the company's operations or strategic decisions Review marketing, product, and operational initiatives for legal implications Handle employment law matters such as policies, investigations, and disputes Support litigation management, including discovery, strategy, and settlement discussions Oversee intellectual property protection such as trademarks, copyrights, and licensing Assist with regulatory filings, permits, and interactions with regulatory authorities Participate in risk management, privacy, and compliance initiatives Develop and update internal policies, procedures, and training programs Advise on mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other corporate transactions Respond to subpoenas, information requests, and compliance audits Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is a must Proven experience in multiple practice areas is an asset Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear legal drafting tailored to diverse audiences Demonstrated negotiation skills to facilitate favorable outcomes in complex transactions or disputes Prior legal administrative experience managing case files, documentation, and correspondence efficiently Familiarity with legal research tools Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced law office environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
