Responsibilities: As an In-House Bookkeeper for Beyond the Basics Inc., your key responsibilities will include: - Submitting Government Remittances, including HST, Payroll Deductions, and WSIB, for multiple companies - Preparing T4 slips and records of employment for employees across various companies - Assisting with HR-related duties for the different companies - Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions across the portfolio - Processing payroll and maintaining employee records for each company - Utilizing accounting software (QuickBooks) to perform daily tasks for multiple entities - Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures for each business - Collaborating with the accountant to ensure financial accuracy across the entire group of companies Skills: To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills: - Proficiency in bookkeeping principles and practices - Strong attention to detail - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines for multiple companies - Proficiency in using accounting software, especially QuickBooks - Knowledge of payroll processing procedures - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience - An accounting degree or relevant certification is a plus - Familiarity with Canadian tax regulations and reporting requirements for multiple entities - Strong computer skills, particularly with accounting software and MS Office - A commitment to accuracy and confidentiality in financial record-keeping - A proactive and collaborative attitude in a multi-company environment How to Apply: If you are an experienced Bookkeeper who meets the qualifications and is ready to support the financial needs of multiple companies within Beyond the Basics Inc., we encourage you to apply.
