The In-Hospital Replenishment Team Lead is responsible for providing leadership and management of human, financial and material resources for area supply, internal transportation, receiving and customer services. This position is accountable for the day-to-day operations, monitoring, coordinating, controlling and administering inventory replenishment and delivery services. Provide leadership for In-Hospital Replenishment related projects and other change initiatives. This role provides sound decision making and leadership in a challenging climate and on matters involving supply chain service needs and standards.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

  • Supervises designated staff by performing a variety of duties such as interviewing and making selection decisions, conducting performance reviews and addressing performance issues through intervention or counseling as required. Investigates work and staff issues and, where necessary initiates disciplinary action up to and including termination. Identifies development and training opportunities for staff and conducts related training and orientation for department staff as required.
  • Manages and coordinates the establishment of schedules, task assignments and allocation of staff hours and equipment to ensure compliance with departmental commitments. Responds to and resolves daily operational issues and ensures adherence to standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Evaluates operations and develops and implements improvement strategies in operating processes, equipment and facilities to maximize productivity, storage and service levels for assigned functions.
  • Develops monitors and updates quality improvement initiatives to ensure service quality standards are maintained.
  • Coordinates and monitors PAR stock levels and movements to ensure optimum level of stock. Identifies excesses to inventory objectives and develops a plan to remediate. Identifies efficiencies and promotes optimal use of resources.
  • Diagnoses service level failures and takes corrective action to prevent reoccurrence. Develops and implements procedural changes and provides guidance to staff on new processes.
  • Ensures that materials and requirements meet established standards and applicable policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by maintaining business relationships with vendors and service representatives.
  • Prepares operational reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and recommendations and conclusions. Keeps abreast of industry trends and developments relating to the receiving and distribution of merchandise.
  • Assists in the preparation of the annual operating budget for the area of responsibility; monitors and ensures expenditures are within approved budgets.
What you bring

Qualifications
  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor\'s Degree in a related discipline plus applicable designation related to logistics or equivalent five (5) years\' related experience at a management level covering a broad spectrum of Materiel Services functions with emphasis on supply chain management and/or logistics.
  • Ability to manage clinical customers and stakeholder relationships. Ability to effectively engage vendors, external service providers, and peer managers at other Health Organizations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively will all levels of staff. Ability to solve day-to-day operational issues and take prompt actions on addressing product shortages and demands. Ability to exercise judgment on working within or outside of established processes and procedures.

Job Type: Regular, Full-time
Salary Range: $67,864 - $97,555 /year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate\xe2\x80\x99s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
