We are currently hiring independent contracted piano and violin teachers to provide high-quality, individualized lessons. Teachers have the flexibility to provide in-home or online lesson, or a combination of both, tailored to each student's unique needs and goals, including RCM examination preparation and performance-focused training.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, individualized piano or violin instruction to students of all ages and skill levels.
Develop and implement structured lesson plans that align with each student's goals and abilities.
Prepare students for RCM examinations, competitions, and performance opportunities, ensuring technical proficiency and musical expression.
Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages discipline and promotes consistent musical progress.
Stay up-to-date with examination requirements.
Skills
Advanced proficiency in piano or violin performance, with diploma-level training from a conservatory or equivalent institution.
Extensive teaching experience with children and adult students, preferably in private studio settings or providing in-home lessons at students' residences.
Strong knowledge of RCM curriculum, examination standards, and preparation for music competitions.
Ability to design customized lesson plans that balance technical development, musicality, and performance readiness.
Patient, professional, and understanding, with strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with students, inspire and foster engagement, adapt teaching style to different students' needs and goals, and provide effective progress updates to parents.
