En tant qu'ingenieur jeu senior (gameplay), vous jouerez un role cle dans le developpement des systemes de gameplay fondamentaux. Ce que vous ferez




Vous creerez et ameliorerez des systemes de gameplay a l'aide d'Unreal Engine C++, en traduisant les idees de conception en un code robuste et performant. Vous travaillerez de maniere transversale avec les equipes de conception et de produit pour prototyper, affiner et mettre en oeuvre de nouvelles fonctionnalites destinees aux joueurs. Vous debogueriez et optimiseriez le code du gameplay afin de garantir une experience fluide aux joueurs sur toutes les plateformes prises en charge. Vous encadrerez les ingenieurs juniors, partagerez les meilleures pratiques et contribuerez a une culture d'ingenierie collaborative. Vous ecrirez un code clair, facile a maintenir et bien documente afin de repondre aux besoins de developpement actuels et futurs. Vous identifierez rapidement les defis techniques et proposerez des solutions qui concilient vision creative et contraintes techniques. Vous participerez a la revision du code et fournirez des commentaires constructifs afin d'ameliorer la qualite et la coherence de l'equipe. Vous contribuerez a etablir et a maintenir des normes en matiere d'architecture, d'evolutivite et de maintenabilite du gameplay.

Qui vous etes




Developpeur Unreal Engine chevronne, dote de solides connaissances en C++ et d'une experience dans la creation de gameplay de haute qualite. Experimente dans la conception et la creation de fonctionnalites de jeu telles que le combat, les capacites des joueurs, l'IA, les systemes de gameplay ou les systemes narratifs. Passionne par l'experience de jeu, les boucles de retroaction des joueurs et la creation d'interactions amusantes et reactives. A l'aise pour collaborer avec des collegues non techniciens et transformer des idees creatives en realites techniques. Vous etes proactif dans la resolution de problemes et vous vous epanouissez dans des environnements de developpement iteratifs et en constante evolution. Vous maitrisez les workflows de developpement modernes, notamment le controle de version, les outils de debogage et l'analyse des performances.

Atouts apprecies




Experience dans la commercialisation de titres multiplateformes. Connaissance des Blueprints et de l'integration du C++ au contenu cree par les concepteurs. Experience des jeux en service continu et des systemes de gameplay evolutifs apres leur lancement. Informations sur le salaire





Le salaire de base pour un poste d'ingenieur de jeu senior est compris entre $115,000 et $184,125 (CAD) par an. Le salaire de base pour un poste de _staff engineer_ est compris entre $153,750 et $197,250 (CAD) par an. Le salaire de base sera determine en fonction du poste, du niveau et du lieu de travail. La fourchette indiquee pour chaque poste correspond aux salaires cibles minimum et maximum pour les nouveaux employes dans les provinces approuvees par S6. A l'interieur de cette fourchette, le salaire individuel est determine en fonction du lieu de travail et d'autres facteurs. As a Senior Game Engineer (Gameplay), you'll be a key contributor driving the development of core gameplay systems. You'll work closely with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to bring new features to life--from prototyping mechanics to polishing progression, or player interaction systems. You bring deep Unreal C++ experience and a passion for delivering gameplay that feels great.


What You'll Do




You'll build and iterate on gameplay systems using

Unreal Engine C++

, translating design ideas into robust and performant code. You'll work cross-functionally with design and product to prototype, refine, and implement new player-facing features. You'll debug and optimize gameplay code to ensure smooth player experiences across supported platforms. You'll mentor junior engineers, share best practices, and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture. You'll write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code to support current and future development needs. You'll identify technical challenges early and propose solutions that balance creative vision with technical constraints. You'll participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve team quality and consistency. You'll help establish and uphold standards for gameplay architecture, scalability, and maintainability

Who You Are




A seasoned

Unreal Engine developer

with strong C++ fundamentals and experience shipping high-quality gameplay. Experienced in architecting and building game features such as combat, player abilities, AI, systems gameplay, or narrative systems. Passionate about game feel, player feedback loops, and crafting fun, responsive interactions. Comfortable collaborating with non-technical teammates and turning creative ideas into technical realities. A proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, iterative development environments. Familiar with modern development workflows, including version control, debugging tools, and performance analysis.

Nice To Have




Experience shipping

multiplatform

titles. Familiarity with

Blueprints

and integrating C++ with designer-authored content. Exposure to live service games and gameplay systems that scale and evolve post-launch. A passion for tools and pipelines that help gameplay teams work faster and smarter.

Salary Information:





The base salary range for a Senior Game Engineer position is

$115,000

-

$184,125 (CAD)

annually. The base salary range for a Staff Game Engineer position is

$153,750

-

$197,250 (CAD)

annually. Base salary will be determined by role, level, and location. The range listed for each job is the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the positions across S6-approved provinces. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors. Please discuss your specific salary expectations for your preferred location during our interview process.
