Sous la supervision du Superviseur, Soumission et Services d\xe2\x80\x99ing\xc3\xa9nierie, l\xe2\x80\x99ing\xc3\xa9nieur syst\xc3\xa8me de soumissions aura \xc3\xa0 travailler \xc3\xa0 l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9laboration des solutions d\xe2\x80\x99ing\xc3\xa9nierie afin de compl\xc3\xa9ter \xc3\xa0 temps les soumissions des syst\xc3\xa8mes de portes remises aux fabricants de trains. Il est responsable de l\xe2\x80\x99analyse des sp\xc3\xa9cifications, de l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9laboration des solutions et de l\xe2\x80\x99estimation des budgets d\xe2\x80\x99ing\xc3\xa9nierie pour les soumissions. Il assure aussi le soutien technique aux d\xc3\xa9partements du Marketing et de l\xe2\x80\x99Approvisionnement.

Responsabilit\xc3\xa9s essentielles :

• S\'assurer de l\xe2\x80\x99int\xc3\xa9grit\xc3\xa9, de la conformit\xc3\xa9 et de la coh\xc3\xa9sion de la partie technique des soumissions;

• Coordination avec les diff\xc3\xa9rents d\xc3\xa9partements pour l\xe2\x80\x99analyse de la sp\xc3\xa9cification du client.
• d\xc3\xa9finition de la solution, s\xc3\xa9lection parmi nos produits standard et, au besoin, identification des modifications \xc3\xa0 effectuer \xc3\xa0 nos produits standard pour rencontrer le requis client.
• Pr\xc3\xa9sentation de la (ou des) solution(s) technique(s) avec justifications au management pour approbation
• r\xc3\xa9daction de la r\xc3\xa9ponse technique \xc3\xa0 l\xe2\x80\x99appel d\xe2\x80\x99offre (description technique, \xe2\x80\x98scope of supply\xe2\x80\x99, autre documents et calculs n\xc3\xa9cessaires \xc3\xa0 la soumission);
• r\xc3\xa9daction des r\xc3\xa9ponses de conformit\xc3\xa9 Clause \xc3\xa0 clause avec exceptions, clarifications et limites de l\xe2\x80\x99offre technique
• Coordonner et consolider l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9valuation des co\xc3\xbbts d\xe2\x80\x99ing\xc3\xa9nierie (heures de d\xc3\xa9veloppement, \xc3\xa9quipement de test);
• Tenir le registre du contenu de chacune des r\xc3\xa9visions des offres afin de transf\xc3\xa9rer l\xe2\x80\x99historique de soumission et le contenu du \xe2\x80\x98as sold\xe2\x80\x99 de fa\xc3\xa7on efficace \xc3\xa0 l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quipe de projet;
• Pr\xc3\xa9parer les analyses de risques pour l\xe2\x80\x99ing\xc3\xa9nierie pour chacune des soumissions;
• Soutenir les autres d\xc3\xa9partements (achats, marketing) impliqu\xc3\xa9s dans le chiffrage des syst\xc3\xa8mes de portes propos\xc3\xa9s dans les appels d\'offres.

Qualifications de base :

• Baccalaur\xc3\xa9at en g\xc3\xa9nie m\xc3\xa9canique ou \xc3\xa9quivalent reconnu par l\'Ordre des ing\xc3\xa9nieurs du Qu\xc3\xa9bec;
• Membre de l\'Ordre des ing\xc3\xa9nieurs du Qu\xc3\xa9bec;
• Un minimum de 3 ans d\'exp\xc3\xa9rience;
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience av\xc3\xa9r\xc3\xa9e dans une position li\xc3\xa9e au d\xc3\xa9veloppement des soumissions et/ou expertise technique dans le domaine des syst\xc3\xa8mes de portes;
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience dans l\'industrie du transport ferroviaire et de la fabrication est un atout.

Business Overview:
Vapor Rail is a train and metro door manufacturer whose engineering team is based in Montreal. The System Engineering, Quoting and Engineering Services team is responsible for the quoting and execution of door system projects. The system engineering team oversees the development of customer projects. The tendering team proposes solutions for new trains. And the engineering services team takes care of evaluating, replacing and upgrading existing systems in customer fleets.

Role overview:
Under the supervision of the Supervisor, Tendering and Engineering Services, the tendering system engineer will have to work on the development of engineering solutions in order to complete the door system tenders submitted to train manufacturers on time. He is responsible for analyzing specifications, developing solutions and estimating engineering budgets for bids. He also provides technical support to the Marketing and Supply departments.

Core Responsibilities:

• Ensure the integrity, compliance and cohesion of the technical part of the submissions;

o Coordination with the different departments for the analysis of the customer specification.
o definition of the solution, selection from our standard products and, if necessary, identification of modifications to be made to our standard products to meet customer requirements.
o Presentation of the technical solution(s) with justifications to management for approval
o drafting of the technical response to the call for tenders (technical description, \'scope of supply\', other documents and calculations necessary for the submission);
o drafting of compliance responses Clause to clause with exceptions, clarifications and limitations of the technical offer

• Coordinate and consolidate the evaluation of engineering costs (hours of development, test equipment);
• Keep the register of the contents of each of the revisions of the offers in order to transfer the history of submission and the contents of the \'as sold\' in an efficient way to the project team;
• Prepare risk analyzes for engineering for each submission;
• Support other departments (purchasing, marketing) involved in the costing of door systems proposed in calls for tenders.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent recognized by the Ordre des ing\xc3\xa9nieurs du Qu\xc3\xa9bec;
• Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec;
• A minimum of 3 years of experience;
• Proven experience in a position related to the development of bids and/or technical expertise in the field of door systems;
• Experience in the rail transportation and manufacturing industry is an asset.

Other desired skills:

• Bilingual (French, English)
• Autonomy, respect of short deadlines, and management of priorities;
• Excellent written communication skills, synthesis, ability to effectively explain technical solutions;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
• Experience in evaluating product adaptation development engineering costs an asset;
• Knowledge of SolidWorks an asset;
• Work in product conformity assessment and requirements management a strong asset;

Other required:

• Must be able to legally work in Canada;
• Must ideally be able to travel occasionally to the United States and Canada (2-3 times a year) for a period of 3 days or less;
