Microchip recherche actuellement un Ingenieur Conception pour rejoindre notre unite d'affaires Communications a Montreal, QC, Canada.
L'unite d'affaires Communications de Microchip (CBU) est un fournisseur de premier plan de solutions de connectivite et de reseaux optiques 100 Gbps+ pour les telecommunications et les centres de donnees hyperscale. Nos dispositifs permettent des applications cloud a large bande passante telles que les services de streaming, les plateformes de medias sociaux et la visioconference.
L'equipe de developpement de produits CBU intervient tout au long du cycle de R&D des dispositifs, depuis la conception et la mise en oeuvre jusqu'a la realisation. Une fois le prototype disponible, nous soutenons le developpement logiciel embarque et les tests de validation en laboratoire jusqu'a la mise en production a grande echelle. Nous sommes une equipe experimentee travaillant avec les outils et methodologies de developpement de semi-conducteurs les plus recents, utilisant des technologies de pointe pour developper des dispositifs reseau de derniere generation.
En tant qu'Ingenieur Conception au sein de l'equipe de developpement de produits CBU, vous serez responsable de la conception et de la mise en oeuvre de circuits integres numeriques au niveau bloc ou au niveau superieur d'un dispositif. Vous collaborerez avec les architectes de puces, les responsables de sous-systemes et les membres de l'equipe de verification pour livrer des conceptions de plus en plus complexes dans un environnement convivial, solidaire et professionnel.
Le role de l'Ingenieur Conception inclut :

Concevoir des circuits numeriques selon les normes industrielles et les exigences du marche Implementer les conceptions en code RTL System Verilog en appliquant des principes de conception a faible consommation Synthetiser les conceptions en portes logiques en tirant parti des outils et des flux de pointe de l'industrie Integrer des circuits numeriques et analogiques avec des techniques de conception pour le test (DFT) Verifier les specifications temporelles physiques a l'aide de l'analyse statique du timing (STA)

Microchip is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join our Communications Business Unit in Montreal, QC, Canada.
Microchip's Communications Business Unit (CBU) is a premier supplier for 100Gbps+ Optical Networking & Connectivity Solutions for Telecom & Hyperscale Data Center Networks. Our devices enable high-bandwidth, cloud-based applications such as streaming services, social media platforms and video conferencing.
The CBU Product Development team is engaged through the full device R&D cycle from concept, design and implementation stages. Once a prototype is available, we support embedded software development and system validation lab testing through to mass-market production release. We are an experienced chip team working with the latest semiconductor development tools and methodologies in advanced process technologies to develop state-of-the-art network devices.
As a Design Engineer in the CBU Product Development team you will be responsible for design and implementation of digital integrated circuits at the block level or top level of a device. You will collaborate with chip architects, subsystem leads and verification team members to deliver increasingly complex designs in a friendly, supportive and professional environment.
The role of the Design Engineer includes:Design digital circuits based on industry standards and market requirements Implement designs in System Verilog RTL code utilizing low-power design principles Synthesize designs into logic gates taking advantage of industry-leading tools and flows Integrate digital and analog circuits with Design-for-Test (DFT) techniques Verify physical timing specifications through Static Timing Analysis (STA)

From time to time we offer the opportunity for Design Engineers to perform prototype testing in a lab environment. This experience enhances the individual's design abilities and gives insight into system-level operation.
Requirements/Qualifications:Baccalaureat ou maitrise en genie electrique ou en genie informatique

+ 1 a 2 stages cooperatifs pertinents (un atout)
+ Excellentes competences analytiques et en debogage, ainsi que la capacite a resoudre les problemes de maniere proactive
+ Capacite averee a s'epanouir, apprendre et s'adapter a de nouvelles methodologies et technologies
+ Solides competences en programmation
+ Experience avec un ou plusieurs des langages suivants : System Verilog, Verilog, VHDL, Tcl, Perl, Python, C, C++, XML
+ Experience en conception, synthese ou verification de conceptions basees sur Verilog ou VHDL pour le silicium, sur FPGA ou d'autres plateformes
+ Excellentes competences en communication orale et ecrite en anglais
+ Familiarite avec les protocoles de communication tels qu'Ethernet, OTN et autres (un atout)
+ Experience avec les outils Synopsys ou Cadence pour la synthese, la verification ou l'analyse statique du timing (STA) (un atout)
+ Experience avec les technologies de processus silicium 65 nm et plus petites (un atout)


-Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering 1-2 related Co-op terms experience (an asset) Excellent analytical and debugging skills and the ability to proactively solve issues Proven ability to thrive on, learn and adapt to new methodologies and technologies Strong coding skills Experience using one or more of System Verilog/Verilog/VHDL, Tcl/Perl/Python, C/C++, XML Experience in designing, synthesizing or verifying Verilog or VHDL based designs for silicon, on FPGA or other platforms Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Familiarity with communication protocols such as Ethernet, OTN and others (an asset) Experience with Synopsys or Cadence tool flows for synthesis, verification or STA (an asset) Experience with 65nm and smaller silicon process technologies (an asset)

Benefits of working at Microchip
The annual base salary range for this position is $76,000 - $114,000. Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
