Sommaire du poste:

Sous la supervision du chef de division PHIL, l\xe2\x80\x99ing\xc3\xa9nieur concepteur en \xc3\xa9lectronique de puissance sera responsable de concevoir des produits d\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9lectronique de puissance dans des plages de tension jusqu\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa0 1000V et jusqu\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa0 des courants dans les quelques centaines d\xe2\x80\x99amp\xc3\xa8res, en monophas\xc3\xa9 et triphas\xc3\xa9.

Principales responsabilit\xc3\xa9s :

• Concevoir des circuits d\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9lectroniques de puissance (DC/DC, DC/AC, composants magn\xc3\xa9tiques, circuit de commutation, gate driver, circuits analogiques et num\xc3\xa9riques de mesure et de commande).
• Planification et suivi des activit\xc3\xa9s de conception pour un produit donn\xc3\xa9, de l\'architecture \xc3\xa0 la production.
• Participation active dans les revues de conception en \xc3\xa9quipe.
• Capacit\xc3\xa9 de concevoir des circuits num\xc3\xa9riques bas\xc3\xa9 sur des FPGA.
• Capacit\xc3\xa9 d\xe2\x80\x99utiliser des outils de simulation pour la conception d\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9lectronique tels que Simulink, Spice, Ansys, etc.
• R\xc3\xa9daction et ex\xc3\xa9cution de plan de tests.
• Travailler avec les ing\xc3\xa9nieurs de production \xc3\xa0 la strat\xc3\xa9gie de mise en production et r\xc3\xa9diger la documentation n\xc3\xa9cessaire au transfert manufacturier.
• Concevoir les produits \xc3\xa9lectroniques afin de rencontrer les normes d\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9missions \xc3\xa9lectromagn\xc3\xa9tiques et de s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa9lectrique.
• Ma\xc3\xaetrise des outils logiciels OPAL-RT afin d\xe2\x80\x99ex\xc3\xa9cuter efficacement le plan de tests.

Exigences :

• Scolarit\xc3\xa9 : Baccalaur\xc3\xa9at en g\xc3\xa9nie \xc3\xa9lectrique. Maitrise ou doctorat en \xc3\xa9lectronique de puissance, un atout.
• Accr\xc3\xa9ditation : Membre de l\xe2\x80\x99Ordre des Ing\xc3\xa9nieurs du Qu\xc3\xa9bec \xc3\xa0 titre d\xe2\x80\x99Ing\xc3\xa9nieur ou \xc3\xa9ligible \xc3\xa0 le devenir.
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience : Minimum de 10 ans d\xe2\x80\x99exp\xc3\xa9rience en conception \xc3\xa9lectronique et \xc3\xa9lectronique de puissance avec mise en production de produits. Familiarit\xc3\xa9 avec les processus et les principes de gestion de produits, allant de la sp\xc3\xa9cification, au d\xc3\xa9veloppement, aux essaies, jusqu\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa0 l\xe2\x80\x99introduction de nouveaux produits \xc3\xa0 la production. Familier avec les principes de conception pour la fabrication (DFM).
• Connaissances techniques: Produits dans la plage de tension 1000V et courants allant \xc3\xa0 quelques centaines d\xe2\x80\x99amp\xc3\xa8res, commande des entrainements \xc3\xa0 fr\xc3\xa9quence variable ou autres technologies d\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9lectronique de puissance, convertisseurs de puissance, conception thermique et m\xc3\xa9canique.
• Normes : Connaissances et ma\xc3\xaetrise de la norme IEC-61010 et autres normes li\xc3\xa9es.
• Connaissances logicielles : Altium, suite Microsoft, outils de calcul et de simulation de circuits \xc3\xa9lectroniques, outils de gestion de projet en mode agile tels que JIRA
• Connaissances linguistiques : Fran\xc3\xa7ais obligatoire - des cours seront offerts si n\xc3\xa9cessaire pour faciliter l\'int\xc3\xa9gration. Bonnes comp\xc3\xa9tences en anglais pour les lectures d\'ouvrages sp\xc3\xa9cialis\xc3\xa9s/scientifiques non disponibles en fran\xc3\xa7ais.

About the PHIL Division :

Job Summary :

Under the supervision of the PHIL Division Manager, the Power Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for designing power electronics products in voltage ranges up to 1000V and up to currents in the few hundred amps, single-phase and three-phase.

Main Responsibilities :

• Design power electronic circuits (DC/DC, DC/AC, magnetic components, switching circuit, gate driver, analog and digital measurement and control circuits).
• Planning and follow-up of design activities for a given product, from architecture to production.
• Active participation in team design reviews.
• Ability to design high frequency digital circuits based on FPGAs.
• Ability to use simulation tools for electronics design such as Simulink, Spice, Ansys, etc.
• Writing and execution of test plan.
• Work with the production engineers on the production release strategy and write the documentation necessary for the manufacturing transfer.Design electronic products to meet electromagnetic emission and electrical safety standards.
• Mastery of OPAL-RT software tools in order to effectively execute the test plan.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor\'s degree in electrical engineering. Masters or PhD in power electronics, an asset.
• Accreditation: Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec as an Engineer or eligible to become one.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in electronic and power electronics design. Familiarity with the principles of product management, ranging from specification, development, testing, and new product introduction for manufacturing. Familiar with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Technical knowledge: Products in the voltage range 1000V and currents up to a few hundred amperes, control of variable frequency drives or other power electronics technologies, power converters, thermal and mechanical design.
• Standards: Knowledge and mastery of the IEC-61010 standard and other related standards.
• Software knowledge: Altium, Microsoft suite, electronic circuit calculation and simulation tools, project management tools in agile mode such as JIRA .
• Language skills: French required - courses will be offered if necessary to facilitate integration. Good English skills for reading specialized/scientific books not available in French;
• Desired qualities: Flexibility and ability to adapt, autonomy, rigor and determination, excellent interpersonal communication, oriented towards customer satisfaction, analytical skills, innovation in solving complex problems, Team spirit and Leadership.

• Experience in FPGA design.
• Experience in designing embedded firmware on microcontroller.
