- Pr\xc3\xa9parer une documentation de conception d\xc3\xa9taill\xc3\xa9e et de haute qualit\xc3\xa9 pour les composants et les produits, en veillant \xc3\xa0 la clart\xc3\xa9 des exigences de sp\xc3\xa9cification pour assurer la fabrication d\'un produit de haute qualit\xc3\xa9 conform\xc3\xa9ment aux plans de d\xc3\xa9veloppement de produits
- Analyser, tester et rendre compte des modes de d\xc3\xa9faillance potentiels des composants
- D\xc3\xa9velopper des solutions \xc3\xa0 des probl\xc3\xa8mes complexes avec le produit et mettre en \xc5\x93uvre ces solutions.
- Assurer la liaison avec les fournisseurs pour assurer la clart\xc3\xa9 des exigences et g\xc3\xa9rer en collaboration tout risque pour la livraison \xc3\xa0 temps
- G\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9ration de la documentation technique supportant le marketing et la vente du produit
- Pr\xc3\xa9parer des instructions de travail, des manuels de maintenance, des diagrammes P&ID, des instructions d\'utilisation, des mod\xc3\xa8les de test d\'acceptation en usine et d\'autres documents d\'ing\xc3\xa9nierie associ\xc3\xa9s
- Pr\xc3\xa9parer/maintenir les nomenclatures (BOM) pour les produits nouveaux et existants
- Effectuer des calculs et des simulations d\'ing\xc3\xa9nierie pour garantir la conformit\xc3\xa9 de la s\xc3\xa9lection et des sp\xc3\xa9cifications des composants.
- S\'assurer que les mod\xc3\xa8les CAO s\'alignent sur les \xc3\xa9tapes de fabrication et d\'assemblage pour un lien direct avec le syst\xc3\xa8me de planification des ressources de l\'entreprise et l\'utilisation des m\xc3\xa9tadonn\xc3\xa9es.

Que recherchons-nous chez un Product Improvement Engineer ?
- Un baccalaur\xc3\xa9at est requis en g\xc3\xa9nie m\xc3\xa9canique ou connexe, membre de l\'ordre des ing\xc3\xa9nieurs.
- Un minimum de 5 \xc3\xa0 10 ans d\'exp\xc3\xa9rience dans la conception d\'applications ou de produits
- Une exp\xc3\xa9rience avec des refroidisseurs ou des syst\xc3\xa8mes de r\xc3\xa9frig\xc3\xa9ration est requise
- Exp\xc3\xa9rience avec un logiciel de mod\xc3\xa9lisation 3D. Autodesk Inventor ou Solid Works est fortement pr\xc3\xa9f\xc3\xa9r\xc3\xa9, cependant, les candidats familiaris\xc3\xa9s avec d\'autres logiciels seront consid\xc3\xa9r\xc3\xa9s.
- Une connaissance approfondie de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) est requise

We are the leading manufacturer of oil-free centrifugal Chillers with operations around the globe.
We are looking to add a Product Improvement Engineer to our engineering team.Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Product Improvement Engineer is responsible for the production and delivery of engineering design and documentation to ensure on-time delivery of new and improved product offerings.
What will your days look like as a Product Improvement Engineer at Smardt?
- Preparing detailed, high-quality design documentation for components and products, ensuring clarity in the specification requirements to ensure the manufacture of a high-quality product in accordance with Product Development plans
- Analyzing, testing and reporting on potential failure modes of components
- Developing solutions to complex problems with the product and implementing these solutions.
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure clarity in requirements and collaboratively manage any risk to the on-time delivery
- Generating technical documentation supporting the marketing and sales of Product
- Preparing work instructions, maintenance manuals, P&ID diagrams, instructions for use, Factory Acceptance Test templates and other associated engineering documentation
- Preparing/maintaining Bills of Material (BOM) for new and existing Product
- Carrying out engineering calculations and simulations to ensure compliant component selection and specification.
- Ensuring CAD models align with manufacturing and assembly steps for direct linkage to the enterprise resource planning system and metadata use.
- Other duties as required.
What are we looking for in a Product Improvement Engineer?
- A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree is required in Mechanical or related Engineering, Member of the order of engineers.
- A minimum of 5-10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in application or prodcut design
- Experience with chiller or refrigeration systems is required
- Experience with 3D modelling software. Autodesk Inventor or solid works is highly preferred, however, candidates familiar with other software will be considered.
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) is required
- Familiarity with ASHRAE/ANSI/ASME codes and design requirements is an asset
- Familiarity with HVAC controls systems is advantageous
- Familiarity with electrical systems is advantageous
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems and is preferred
