TransEd Valley Line LRT is the first piece of the Valley Line project in Edmonton. Connecting Millwoods to downtown Edmonton, the Valley Line allows commuters to go from the South East of Edmonton to any where the LRT stops.
A typical day for the Infrastructure Supervisor
Supervise maintenance teams and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Participates in the selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of assigned staff.
Prioritize work at the Depot to meet train availability requirements.
Develop and maintain interfaces with other functional areas within the business in particular Operations, to improve efficiently and maximize capacity.
Ongoing preventative (PM), corrective (CM) and emergency maintenance (EM) on the aforementioned infrastructure. This relates to inspections, tests, commissioning, modifications, repairs, operation, and/or maintenance of equipment is completed to meet proper standards.
Development and execution of contingency and emergency plans.
Monitoring, investigating, and reporting on asset performance.
Providing technical expertise and oversight to contracts. Ensure subcontractors, project team members and all personnel meet OH&S obligations and perform work within our safety culture respecting HSE rules.
Ensure the application of TransEd safety practices, policies, and procedures by unionized employees.
Liaising with key stakeholders and their representatives.
Lead, coach, and develop their team.
Provide leadership and direction to the team on HSE matters, technical issues, business evaluations, system improvements, maintenance strategies, resourcing strategies, contingency and emergency planning, performance evaluation and reporting, regulatory matters, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Ability to work with varying shift patterns.
Skills and Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Maintenance or a related field.
Professional accreditation in Asset Management, Maintenance Management, or Reliability Management is an asset.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in journey-level rail works or similar industrial electrical, electronics and/or Mechanical Trade maintenance and repair.
Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 or Class 1 is an asset)
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental management processes.
Advanced communication, planning, and technical reporting skills.
Proficiency in Maximo and Agility software is an asset.
