Qualifications

Provide and ensure smooth daily Information Technology (IT) support and maintenance for all computer systems, storage, and networks. Provide and ensure smooth daily Information Systems (IS) support and maintenance for all business systems. Support lifecycle management of all IT related infrastructure items and play a crucial role in shaping the technological landscape at FIO. Monitor and assist users as necessary in IT/IS functions. Maintain and monitor cyber security and corporate data privacy. Ensure secure access, data integrity, stability, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

Provide support and maintenance for all computers, mobile hardware, and software. Including moving and connecting equipment, troubleshooting, advice for error messages, and recommending upgrades to application software as appropriate. Ensures all systems run smoothly and efficiently. Provide support and maintenance for all business systems ensuring continuous operations and stability. Maintain equipment and operating systems, download and install upgrades and security patches and schedule other normal maintenance activities to ensure optimum performance. Administer and monitor local/wide area network environment and recommend improvements. Administers and supports IT/IS ServiceDesk and tickets. Tier 1 and up IT Support requirements. Proactively assesses and escalates high priority incidents and risk issues in a timely manner. Assist users in creating public and private directories that match FIO IT requirements. Utilization of Active Directory to set up users and administer security. Maintains knowledge of Windows Servers and their Roles, along with Hyper-V, Scale Systems, M365, and others. Administer and monitor wired and WIFI networks ensuring stable network connectivity and reliable access to the internet. Experience with Sophos Security Appliances and Ruckus/Cisco switches. Establish and maintain appropriate security protocols including ensuring virus protection is up to date, passwords are changed regularly, etc. Ensure that all best practice security and privacy measures are in place. Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and privacy. A cyber security champion at FIO. Perform regular backups, for both onsite and offsite storage. Ensure that we have a successful recovery plan in place. Support end users with all M365 applications including MS Outlook, Excel, Word and Access. Always looking for opportunities for continuous improvement. Leads IT related projects or acts as SME as required. Participates in IT Strategy, assesses the company's information systems and supports identifying gaps to be addressed. Always looks for opportunities to innovate and optimize technologies. Liaises with vendors and suppliers on contracted maintenance of hardware and software. Utilizes external resources to support IT Requirements when necessary. Develops and maintains documentation. Demonstrate an understanding of FIO's Environmental Policy and participate in programs that enhance environmental performance. Identify and communicate any potential non-conformances. Demonstrate an understanding of the significant environmental impacts of your work activities; follow work instructions to ensure positive environmental performance is sustained. Understand the consequences of delineating from them. Demonstrate an understanding of the EPRP (Emergency Preparedness Response Plan). Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Information Technology or Computer Science Degree/Diploma in related field, or equivalent related IT work experience. CCNA is required. Other IT Certifications are an asset Five or more years of IT/IS experience in related fields. Strong Experience with all Windows OS environments and administrative software including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO's, PowerShell, Azure, printer management, and file management. Advanced knowledge of all MS Products. Experience with M365, Hyper-V, Scale Systems, Windows Server and their roles. Knowledge of Cisco/Ruckus switches, Cisco/Ruckus Wi-Fi Controllers, VLANS, APS, access control systems, surveillance camera systems, endpoints, mobile, hardware support, etc. Certifications are an asset. Experience with ERP support. PLEX Support Experience is an asset. Experience with Cyber Security best practices and emerging technologies. Experience with PLC's, SCADA system, or HMI platforms is an asset. Experience with monitoring and maintaining information systems with cyber security best practices in mind. Proactive and always looking to make continuous improvements in systems and procedures, while maintaining a keen interest in technology. Always keeping abreast of trends and new solutions. Strong communication skills including written and verbal with the ability to train others, along with the ability to effectively and clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across functional areas. Maintains and supports attention to detail while supporting and managing multiple projects. Sound judgment in decision making and establishing priorities. Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork. Customer service oriented with a focus on demonstrated success in relationship building. Strong project and task management skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with proven ability to multi-task. Focusing on a collaborative work environment. Leadership Experience is an asset. Maintains a keen interest in technology. Always keeping abreast of trends and new solutions.

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
