As the Information Management Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping how information is organized, protected, and shared at POLAR. This is the only position dedicated to information management in the agency, which means you'll have a unique opportunity to build and lead this function.



You will be responsible for developing and implementing a solid information management framework, including policies, procedures, and processes, to ensure the right information is accessible to the right people at the right time. You will also provide day-to-day support to staff, helping them manage data, documents and records effectively and in line with Government of Canada requirements.



Whether it's supporting the records management system, offering hands-on help to colleagues, or advising senior management on best practices, your work will make a direct impact on the success of the agency and its ability to preserve and share knowledge in support of Arctic science and policy.

EDUCATION

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.


Degree equivalency


EX1: Experience in developing strategies and business plans related to information management

EX2: Experience in developing and implementing information management policies, procedures, and processes.

EX3: Experience in providing strategic advice or recommendations to senior management on information management issues.

EX4: Experience in leading projects or initiatives aimed at optimizing information management practices.
