What you will be doing

DESCRIPTION SOMMAIRE DU POSTE :

L\xe2\x80\x99Infirmi\xc3\xa8re/infirmier d\xe2\x80\x99injection et de perfusion sur le terrain (infirmi\xc3\xa8re/infirmier sur le terrain) fournit des services sp\xc3\xa9cialis\xc3\xa9s de traitement par infusion et injection et des services infirmiers aux patients non hospitalis\xc3\xa9s atteints de cancer, de maladies auto-immunes ou rares, en clinique ou \xc3\xa0 domicile. Une coordination et des communications efficaces jouent un r\xc3\xb4le essentiel dans les services aux patients, aux aidants et \xc3\xa0 nos clients. Le titulaire de ce poste offre aux patients et aux fournisseurs de soins de sant\xc3\xa9 des formations et un soutien continu relativement aux maladies et aux traitements qu\xe2\x80\x99ils g\xc3\xa8rent.

PRINCIPALES FONCTIONS ET RESPONSABILIT\xc3\x89S :

\xe2\x80\x93 Administrer les m\xc3\xa9dicaments (par voie IV, IM et SC) au domicile du patient ou dans une clinique sp\xc3\xa9cialis\xc3\xa9e

\xe2\x80\x93 Surveiller les r\xc3\xa9actions post-injection/perfusion, noter et d\xc3\xa9clarer toutes les activit\xc3\xa9s conform\xc3\xa9ment aux protocoles des programmes

\xe2\x80\x93 Fournir des formations aux patients sur les protocoles des programmes, individuellement ou en groupe.

\xe2\x80\x93 Signalera les \xc3\xa9v\xc3\xa8nements ind\xc3\xa9sirables, les ind\xc3\xa9sirables graves, les plaintes relatives aux produits conform\xc3\xa9ment a la formation et aux politiques et proc\xc3\xa9dures d\'Innomar.

\xe2\x80\x93 Coordonner quotidiennement avec les patients, les gestionnaires de cas, les m\xc3\xa9decins, la Planification des rendez-vous et les autres d\xc3\xa9partements pour d\xc3\xa9finir le calendrier de planification des rendez-vous, les traitements et la communication de renseignements.

\xe2\x80\x93 Participer r\xc3\xa9guli\xc3\xa8rement aux consultations t\xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9phoniques, aux s\xc3\xa9ances de formation et aux r\xc3\xa9unions sur le Web avec le gestionnaire de district pour partager des renseignements et respecter les normes de pratique professionnelle.

\xe2\x80\x93 Consulter avec les m\xc3\xa9decins, les clients des domaines pharmaceutiques et biotechnologiques au sujet de l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9ducation et de la mise en \xc5\x93uvre de programmes propres \xc3\xa0 certains produits.

\xe2\x80\x93 Respecter les normes de pratique infirmi\xc3\xa8re professionnelles \xc3\xa9tablies par les associations professionnelles et la compagnie.

\xe2\x80\x93 Travailler en collaboration avec les \xc3\xa9quipes de sant\xc3\xa9 multidisciplinaires en assurant la surveillance et la d\xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9gation des t\xc3\xa2ches applicables aux IAP/IAA selon les autorisations des ordres professionnels provinciaux.

EXP\xc3\x89RIENCE ET NIVEAU D\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\x89DUCATION REQUIS :

\xe2\x80\x93 Infirmi\xc3\xa8re autoris\xc3\xa9e qualifi\xc3\xa9e (avec un permis valide de l\xe2\x80\x99Ordre provincial des infirmiers et infirmi\xc3\xa8res)

\xe2\x80\x93 Certificat de RCR de prestataire de soins de sant\xc3\xa9 requis.

\xe2\x80\x93 Au moins trois ann\xc3\xa9es d\xe2\x80\x99exp\xc3\xa9rience comme infirmi\xc3\xa8re autoris\xc3\xa9e

\xe2\x80\x93 Un an d\xe2\x80\x99exp\xc3\xa9rience de l\xe2\x80\x99administration d\xe2\x80\x99intraveineuses et de perfusion.

\xe2\x80\x93 Exp\xc3\xa9rience des soins critiques, d\xe2\x80\x99urgence, de soins de courte dur\xc3\xa9e aux patients hospitalis\xc3\xa9s ou non ou des soins \xc3\xa0 domicile est consid\xc3\xa9r\xc3\xa9e comme un atout.

\xe2\x80\x93 Une certification ACLS ou ACAV et de l\xe2\x80\x99exp\xc3\xa9rience des voies veineuses centrales sont des atouts

\xe2\x80\x93 Ma\xc3\xaetrise de MS Excel, Outlook (courriel) et MS Word.

What your background should look like

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer medications in the patient\'s home, specialty clinics and Physician Partnership clinic settings.
• Assess monitor pre and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
• Completes necessary documentation based on policies and procedures, and as directed by the College of Nurses, and Innomar ISO accreditation standards of practice.
• Provide patient / Caregivers education based on product monographs and program protocols, individually or in groups
• Report adverse events, serious adverse events, product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures
• Provides reliable availability based on the agreed upon employment agreement to meet the needs of the IBU and the Nursing and clinics Key Performance Indicators.
• Communicates and works effectively amongst multi-disciplinary teams i.e. case managers, physicians, pharmacy, scheduling and other departments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments and treatments.
• Communicates effectively with Patients/Caregivers to set up appointments and drug delivery to home and clinic.
• Participate regularly in team web-based meetings/training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE and Nurse Champion to maintain and enhance professional practice standards.
• Participates in specialized client related trainings as required.
• Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by the professional associations and Innomar.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary health care team providing oversight and delegation of applicable tasks to RPN/LPN as authorized by provincial college of nurses
• Required to travel within your designated IBU and surrounding IBUs to meet the operational needs.
• Required to follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and Work Instructions.
• Required to follow all Health and Safety standards as per the provincial Health and safety Act.
• Required to complete ongoing and annual education training as per the training matrix within the specified timeframes.
• Perform other related duties and tasks as required by Innomar.
• May be required to be on standby/on call to meet the service needs.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse required
• 1 year experience IV initiation experience
• Current registration with licensing body; CPR certificate
• Experience in a critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient or homecare setting
• ACLS, PALs, MS and CVAA Certification, and central venous lines/port experience are considered assets
• Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook (e-mail), and MS Word and other applicable computer programs.
• Access to internet connection,
• Knowledge of Cell phone for making and confirming appointments/assignments and fax machines.
• Excellent customer service skills for managing daily interactions with: patients, family members, physicians and our clients. Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger team
• Able to travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographical boundary

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset.
