, our Infant-Toddler program provides a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where our youngest learners begin to build independence, trust, and joy in learning. The ideal candidate will bring patience, creativity, and professionalism, while embracing Montessori principles and a child-centered approach.

Responsibilities

Provide responsive, nurturing care for infants and toddlers that supports their emotional security and developmental needs. Design and implement age-appropriate, Montessori-inspired activities that encourage sensory exploration, language, and motor development. Foster secure attachments and positive relationships with children through patience, consistency, and kindness. Communicate regularly with families, sharing developmental progress and daily highlights. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive, supportive classroom environment that reflects Lark's values. Maintain health, safety, and cleanliness standards in alignment with BC Child Care Licensing Regulations. Document children's growth and learning through observation and developmental records. Support children's independence by guiding self-help skills such as feeding, dressing, and toileting.

Qualifications

Valid

ECE Infant-Toddler Certificate (British Columbia)

or currently enrolled in the program. Emergency Child Care First Aid with CPR/AED (Level B or C) Experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or early learning setting. Knowledge of Montessori philosophy (or willingness to learn and be mentored in it). Strong communication skills with children, families, and colleagues. Understanding of inclusive practices and willingness to adapt to children's individual needs. A caring, patient, and flexible approach to teaching and caregiving. Commitment to upholding Lark's core values in daily practice.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
