Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled
Infant and Toddler Teacher (ECE with IT Certification)
who brings a nurturing presence and deep understanding of early development. This role is crucial in providing high-quality care and laying a strong foundation during a child's most formative years.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a safe, loving, and responsive environment for infants and toddlers
Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities based on developmental milestones
Support children's emotional, physical, and cognitive growth through hands-on learning and play
Maintain open, supportive communication with families, sharing daily updates and developmental progress
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization of all classroom areas
Collaborate with fellow educators to maintain a consistent and positive learning atmosphere
Comply with all licensing, safety, and health standards and procedures
Qualifications
Valid
ECE Certification
with
Infant & Toddler (IT) Certification
in British Columbia
First Aid & CPR Certification
Clear Criminal Record Check
(or willingness to obtain)
Strong knowledge of infant and toddler developmental stages and needs
Ability to create calm, engaging routines and responsive caregiving strategies
Excellent communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor
Familiarity with Reggio Emilia, Montessori, or play-based learning (an asset, not required)
