Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial/Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and be proficient in troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of electrical components in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. This role requires a solid understanding of blueprints, schematics, and the use of various hand and power tools. Experience with maintenance, renovation, and automated systems is highly valued.

What You'll Do:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with relevant codes and standards Diagnose and repair electrical faults in commercial, industrial, and residential environments Perform repairs and corrective actions as recommended in thermal inspection reports (e.g., clean and tighten connections, replace fuses, components, disconnects, switches, and breakers) Conduct equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance, including panel upgrades and switchgear Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout and requirements of electrical systems Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques Work with both low voltage and high voltage systems as needed Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively and safely for installation and repair tasks Collaborate with construction teams during renovation projects to ensure proper electrical installations Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems (asset) Conduct site surveys and code compliance inspections Prepare repair estimates for clients Support thermal inspections as required Perform residential repairs and maintenance Collect data for protection and coordination studies, arc flash analysis, and single line drawings Assist in preventative maintenance program development and client consulting Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations Travel to client sites across Newfoundland and Labrador and the Atlantic Provinces as needed

What We're Looking For:

Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician

5+ years' experience

in industrial/commercial environments Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage applications Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Familiarity with construction practices and renovation projects is preferred Previous experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is an asset Experience with power quality analysis or electrical inspections is a plus Experience with thermography is considered an asset Comfortable with fieldwork, travel, and working independently Comfortable working in a residential environment Valid driver's license and clean driving record Safety certifications (arc flash, first aid, fall protection) are considered assets Experience with Microsoft Office and iPhone workflow applications is considered an asset A background in maintenance person services or general maintenance is beneficial
