Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Industrial Vegetation Technician to join our team. This role involves performing vegetation control services for industrial, commercial, and municipal properties to ensure safe and efficient operations. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to provide effective and compliant vegetation management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct industrial vegetation control using herbicides and mechanical methods.

- Assess sites and identify vegetation management needs.

- Safely mix, load, and apply herbicides in accordance with O. Reg. 63/09 and company protocols.

- Operate and maintain equipment such as sprayers, weed trimmers, and other specialized tools.

- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

- Prepare and maintain accurate records of service applications and site assessments.

- Communicate effectively with clients to explain services and address concerns.

Qualifications and Skills

- Ontario Pesticide Industrial Vegetation Licence (or willingness to obtain)

- Ontario Pesticide Landscape Licence (or willingness to obtain)

- Aquatic Vegetation and Agricultural Licences would be an asset

Experience:

- Previous experience in vegetation management, landscaping, agriculture or related fields preferred.

- Knowledge of industrial sites and safety practices is an asset.

Skills:

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.

- Mechanical ability to maintain and repair sprayers

- Good math skills

Other Requirements:

- Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Ability to travel to different job sites within the service area.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
