Position Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Superintendent to oversee and manage industrial operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and operations, with expertise in managing teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing production processes. Possessing a DZ license and experience with vac truck operations and high-pressure water blasting will be considered valuable assets for this role.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate industrial operations, including maintenance, repair, and production activities. Oversee a team of industrial technicians and operators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies at all times. Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Schedule and prioritize work assignments, considering operational requirements, available resources, and project deadlines. Coordinate with other departments, such as engineering and logistics, to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication. Monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and recommend preventive and corrective maintenance measures. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, operational expenses, and production output. Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of required materials and equipment. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into operational strategies.

Qualifications

Previous experience as an Industrial Superintendent or similar role in an industrial setting. Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance, repair, and production processes. Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in industrial operations. DZ license is an asset. Experience with vac truck operations is an asset. Proficiency in high-pressure water blasting techniques is an asset. Strong organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
