Position Summary

The Pipefitter Helper will play a key support role in assisting skilled pipefitters with the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in the industrial and mechanical trades. The Pipefitter Helper will assist in performing tasks such as pipe installation, cutting, threading, fitting, and the safe operation of tools and equipment. The role requires a strong willingness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions from experienced pipefitters. As part of the team, the Pipefitter Helper will contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive work environment while gaining valuable skills to advance in the pipefitting trade.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for piping systems. Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes and fittings to required specifications. Use hand tools and power tools to assist with pipe fabrication and installation. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures at all times. Perform testing and inspections to ensure proper system operation. Troubleshoot and repair piping systems as needed. Follow all safety protocols and company procedures. Ability to work a 3-shift rotation, including 12-hour, 10-hour and 8-hour shifts.

Pay: $28.81-$37.77 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
