Summary

We are seeking a talented Packaging Designer to join our dynamic team in Ottawa. In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating innovative packaging designs that align with our mission to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our diverse clientele. Your creativity and expertise will contribute significantly to our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

Develop innovative packaging designs using various recyclable materials. Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing and functional packaging solutions. Proficiency in design software such AutoCAD, Solid Works and Adobe Creative Suite etc. and use of CNC table to produce high-quality print and box designs. Ensure designs meet production requirements and minimize costs through efficient use of materials. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in packaging design. Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively. Work closely with production teams to ensure timely delivery of packaging solutions. Maintain organized project files and documentation.

Qualifications

Graduate from Mechanical/Manufacturing Tech or Industrial Design or Packaging Design 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Packaging Designer or experience in Industrial Design Proficiency in design software such AutoCAD, Solid Works and Adobe Creative Suite etc. and use of CNC table. Strong understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and industry regulations with a strong focus on eco-friendly and sustainable materials while balancing cost-effectiveness and protection. Excellent verbal and written skills in English. With the ability to present and explain design concepts effectively. Use of the French language is an asset. Ability to work collaboratively with cross - functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of sustainable packaging practices is an asset.
