About the Role

As an

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright

at

Atlas Tube (Zekelman Industries)

in Harrow, Ontario, you will play a key role in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal plant performance and safety. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented tradesperson who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, takes pride in hands-on technical work, and values a strong culture of safety and teamwork.

What You'll Do

Follows and promotes safe work practices in accordance with OSHA, Company policies, and regulatory standards (e.g., LOTO, Arc Flash). Performs mechanical and hydraulic maintenance across plant equipment and systems, including power systems, drives, and production machinery. Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical drives and manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime. Welds, cuts, and fabricates parts for equipment repairs and installations. Executes preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability. Prepares detailed maintenance reports and ensures work order accuracy in SAP, including parts tracking and closure. Collaborates with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to support production needs. Performs additional duties as assigned to support plant operations. Maintains regular, full-time onsite attendance as an essential job function.

Who You Are

Licensed Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (433A) required. Minimum five (5) years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment performing maintenance work. High school diploma or equivalent required. Trade or technical school diploma preferred (Welding, Blueprint Reading, Hydraulics, Mechanical Training). Certified welder (Plate, 3G, or related certifications) preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills with proficiency in industrial equipment maintenance. Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Computer-literate with experience using SAP or other CMMS systems. Positive, team-focused attitude and excellent communication skills. Comfortable working at elevated heights and in various plant environments.

Physical Abilities

Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy parts and tools as required. Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods while performing maintenance tasks. Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.
