Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the maintenance Lead Hand, the Industrial Mechanic performs highly skilled maintenance work relating to specialized equipment repair, i.e. pumps, valves, motors, HVAC systems and any other mechanical components within the facility. The position requires considerable initiative and judgment in accordance with codes, regulations, specifications and acceptable standards.

Description:

As a Millwright, you will perform a wide variety of journeyperson level duties associated with the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment in accordance with building codes, blueprints, standards and practices. You will install, maintain, balance, test, troubleshoot and repair of all rotating and rolling stock equipment. In addition, you will perform operational maintenance and repairs using procedures such as vibration analysis and replace or repair defective parts when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Millwright Certificate from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training. Additional Required Qualifications:

Must have a valid Industrial Mechanic Journeyman Certificate. Grade 12 or equivalent is required. Valid Class 5 Driver\'s License. Be able to repair mechanical equipment i.e. Pumps, fans, belt drives, HVAC equipment, and any related equipment within the hospital. Computer skills (Computerized Maintenance Management System, EXCEL, WORD and Outlook). Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize work and work well under stressful conditions. Understands the importance of confidentiality. Must possess good communication skills and be fluent in speaking, writing and following written instructions in English. Preferred Qualifications:

One year of experience in building automation systems. One year of Health Care facility experience is desired. Knowledge of building maintenance and repair. Knowledge of Infectious control measures within a hospital is desired.
