Summary
We are seeking an Industrial Mechanic to join our team at Lallemand in Tara. This role is crucial in maintaining our manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient production processes. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will contribute significantly to our mission of providing superior quality solutions.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Ability to work with heavy-duty equipment and in physically demanding environments
Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for equipment diagnostics.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
Assist in training new staff on maintenance procedures.
Support production teams by ensuring optimal equipment performance.
Adhering to GMPs for food safety and food defense, requirements
Must be able to wear a half face mask respirator
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program
Red Seal certification for Ontario
Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanic or similar role.
Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics.
Experience with welding techniques (MIG/TIG) is a plus.
Experience in Clean In Place (CIP) systems is a plus
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Basic computer skills

Pay: $35.00-$39.67 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
