Cascades Calgary is looking for an Industrial Mechanic. We offer the following:

• Competitive Compensation - $43.35/hr

• Working a 6 day rotation - 3x 12 hour shifts (36 hours worked per week, paid for 40 hours)

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working as part of the Maintenance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for

• Install, examine, replace or repair machines in a timely manner
• Perform preventative maintenance to equipment as required
• maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and rebuilding corrugated manufacturing machinery
• maintaining and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and components
• completing planned work order requests on time
• maintaining a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Use proper lockout/ tag out procedures when required, never allowing a machine to be operated without proper guarding or when the possibility of injury is evident
• Pre risk job assessments before any uncommon task

Qualifications

• Valid Inter-Provincial Red Seal Millwright certificate;
• Minimum three (3) years experience, preferably in the corrugated industry
• Millwright, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic or related post-secondary education
• Ability to work a 6 day operation with shift rotation
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Forklift, scissor lift, welding and other related certification an asset
• Prior work experience in a similar role is required and previous experience in the manufacturing industry will be considered an asset
