Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with troubleshooting of equipment affecting production. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on printing presses, automated equipment and any other related equipment. Assist with the installation and testing of any new equipment Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, issues or safety issues. Commitment to ongoing safety practices. Willingness to continue to work towards attaining journeyman status (tuition and academic requirements are the responsibility of the apprentice)
Qualifications
Certificate in an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright Experience working in a manufacturing, printing or industrial environment. Ability to troubleshoot and use basic hand and power tools and measuring equipment. Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and technical manuals. Strong communication skills and able to collaborate with various departments. Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. and performing manual tasks. Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced production environment. Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends (24/7-hour operation).
