Perform industrial electrical services in accordance with standard practices and the Canadian Electrical Code , which involves the construction and maintenance of electrical distribution and utility systems.
Perform services including but not limited to the installation of electrical equipment and components, cable tray, conduits, cable and wire, heat trace, grounding and bonding, terminations and testing.
Diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems and make suitable repair and restoration.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and defects for their adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
Test electrical systems, circuits, equipment and components using a variety of tools and equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, continuity meters, voltmeters, insulation test equipment, etc.
Lay out and fabricate materials for the installation or repair of electrical systems, low voltage to 5K.V. including the installation of any control and panel wiring .
Perform electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance of A.C, D.C. and synchronous electric rotating machines.
Use the following equipment in a competent manner: ammeter, voltmeter and megger.
Undercut and slot commutators, install and adjust AC and DC brushes.
Set up and operate all power hand tools in a safe manner.
Qualifications:Required Skills & Qualifications
Hold a valid Alberta Journeyman electrician certificate or Canadian interprovincial red seal certification.
Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with AC and DC drive systems, PLC system software and hardware and hard wired relay logic.

Dual-Ticketed Electrical/Instrument Mechanics are also encouraged to apply.
Safety certifications are an asset for the position.
