Associated Industrial Brush (AIB) is a market leader in industrial brush manufacturing and distribution. AIB is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and optimize the uptime of its equipment. A successful candidate will be a self-starter and someone who has the desire to move into a supervisory/managerial role after gaining experience at the company. Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities of the Technician will include:

Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation. Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts. Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments. Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders. Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Prepares a detailed preventive maintenance program including parts inventories and budgets. Prepares maintenance reports and budget updates by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Reports will be submitted to management on a regular basis. Makes recommendations to management on ways to reduce operating costs, increase uptime of equipment and optimize the manufacturing process. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Conduct themselves as a leader in the manufacturing plant with the expectation that the Technician will move into a supervisory/managerial role within a few years of being with the company.

Work Hours:

Working hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm with opportunities for overtime work.

Compensation:

Hourly compensation is in the range of $30 - $35 per hour, depending on the candidates' qualifications and experience.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Skills:

Organized and strong communication skills (fluent in English - both written and verbal) Attention to detail and willingness and ability to adhere to current quality control standards Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment In-depth knowledge of systems maintenance including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic components Ability to lift and move heavy equipment Familiarity with safety standards and regulations Skilled in analyzing information and creating reports Candidate must possess the willingness and ability to advance their career into a supervisory/managerial role Ability to problem solve and work independently with little direction Ability to MIG and TIG weld an asset Licensed Millwright is an asset

Education and Experience Requirements:

Associates degree in mechanical engineering or similar field or related certifications

Licensed Millwright is an asset but not a requirement

5-7 years experience working as a maintenance technician
