We are seeking a versatile and skilled Industrial Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic team. As an Industrial Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for a wide range of interdisciplinary tasks where knowledge of piping systems, pumps, and HVAC systems will set you apart. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in various mechanical systems and at least 2 years of maintenance experience in the field. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to a safety culture will set the candidate apart.

Responsibilities:



Assist in the fabrication of custom equipment, which can range from outfitting a sea container with insulation, pumps, piping, and HVAC equipment, to prototype equipment fabrication, testing and troubleshooting.

Assist in the installation, calibration, and repair of mechanical systems and components for automation and facility operations.

Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed.

Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of machinery and equipment in rail and municipal infrastructure settings.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:



Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

Valid Journeyman Plumber ticket.

Knowledge of pipe thread and fitting types and applications.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Commitment to safety culture.

Possess a valid Class 5 operator's license.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

A background check is required.

Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems.

Assets:



Dual trade ticket would be an asset, but not a requirement (millwright, gasfitter, heavy duty mechanic, or similar)

Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, diesel fuel systems, pumps, and HVAC systems.

Approximately 30% of work will be site work, the remainder will be working in the Edmonton shop, Monday to Friday, typically 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week. Top of Form

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
