JOB SUMMARY



Reporting to the Industrial Engineering Supervisor, as an Industrial Engineering Project Manager, you will actively participate in a variety of continuous improvement projects, both in our plants and in our distribution center. You will work closely with two other project managers on a variety of mandates, such as the implementation of new assembly lines (automated and manual), the optimization of existing workstations, and the reorganization of warehousing spaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Continuous improvement, optimization of processes and working methods



Analyze production data, stock levels and inventories (Min/Max). Optimize production line layout and work methods (5S, SMED, Kaizen). Map the value chain (Value Stream Mapping; VSM) to improve processes, work organization and operational efficiency. Identify and eliminate sources of waste/bottlenecks (Lean Manufacturing*).
Improve cycle times and workstation ergonomics. Participate in the development of new manufacturing processes to improve productivity. Find solutions to various operational problems, assess project profitability and make recommendations.

Operations Support and Project Management



Support the production, planning and methods team. Handle production support requests and machine issues. Follow up on assigned projects. Actively participate in the redevelopment of our plants and distribution center Participate in the implementation of new production equipment and assembly lines. Support the start-up of new production lines.

Management of documentation, procedures and standard manufacturing times



Study time and movements at workstations to define manufacturing standards. Develop and update work instructions. Create technical documentation related to assigned projects. Train personnel at various workstations.

REQUIREMENTS, QUALITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED



Education: Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering; Minimum 3 years' relevant experience - The position and projects will be adapted to your profile; Member of the Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec or in the process of obtaining the title (e.g., candidate to the engineering profession - CPI). Thoroughness and attention to detail; Dynamism, leadership and team spirit; Autonomous, organized, motivated and able to assimilate new information quickly; Adaptability and flexibility; Spoken and written languages: French (advanced level) and functional English; Knowledge of Autocad and SolidWorks software (an asset); Asset: Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel between our plants in Laval (1.5 km).
