Job Description

We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong focus on testing, quality control, and process development to ensure that our high-tech laser projector meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.


Role Overview





As an Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing manufacturing and testing processes to improve product quality, efficiency, and consistency. You will create and document procedures, establish quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and after-sales operations.



This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced startup environment, ideal for someone who thrives on building systems from the ground up and ensuring operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities




Testing & Quality Control

+ Design, implement, and maintain testing protocols for high-tech electronic and optical products.
+ Develop and monitor quality metrics, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
+ Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Process & Procedures

+ Develop, document, and standardize operating procedures for manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
+ Design and optimize production floor layouts and workflows to maximize efficiency, safety, and scalability.
+ Ensure processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with regulatory and safety requirements.
+ Collaborate with operations, engineering, and production teams to streamline workflows.

Continuous Improvement

+ Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product reliability.
+ Monitor and analyze production capacity to ensure alignment with the company's growth plans, making recommendations for scaling resources, equipment, and processes.
+ Apply lean methodologies and industrial engineering best practices to drive operational improvements.
+ Train operators and technicians on testing procedures and quality standards.

Cross-Functional Support

+ Work closely with R&D to develop and deploy a robust testing, quality, and data reporting strategy that supports both new product introduction and ongoing production.
+ Partner with operations and after-sales teams to ensure smooth transition of products from development to production and field support.
+ Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to align quality standards across the supply chain.

Qualifications




Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, quality control, or process engineering, ideally in a high-tech electronics and/or precision product environment. Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, quality control systems, and ISO 9001 compliance. Experience developing and implementing standard operating procedures and process documentation. Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action, and continuous improvement tools . Proven ability to assess and plan production capacity in line with company growth objectives. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and training skills to ensure adoption of procedures across teams. * Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written).
