Job Description

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the manufacturing sector, with a preference for experience in luxury goods or a similar high-precision manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in implementing Lean methodologies and process improvement programs.
Demonstrated experience in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, creativity, and employee involvement in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and support evidence-based decision-making.
Proficient in job task planning and organizing, with significant use of memory and information retrieval.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, quality assurance, suppliers, and customers to promote a Lean culture.
Minimum 3 years' experience with AutoCAD for layout updates
Sigma Green Belt certification and/or Automation experience are a significant assets
Competencies
Analytical and Problem-Solving - Adept at analyzing complex systems, identifying bottlenecks, and developing innovative solutions to improve productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This includes strong data analysis, statistical methods, and root cause analysis.
Process Mapping and Optimization - Ability to meticulously document, analyze, and re-engineer manufacturing processes to streamline workflows, reduce cycle times, and enhance output. This involves value stream mapping, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma - A solid understanding and practical application of Lean principles (e.g., waste reduction) and Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., DMAIC) to drive efficiency and quality. Strong understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) and their significance in driving continuous improvement
Cost Analysis and Justification - Ability to perform cost-benefit analyses for proposed improvements and develop compelling justifications for investment in new technologies or processes.
Safety and Quality Focus - Knowledge of ergonomic principles to design safe and efficient workstations and processes, reducing worker fatigue and injuries. A strong commitment to ensuring safe working environments and maintaining high-quality production standards.
Time and Motion Study - The ability to conduct detailed time and motion studies to establish standard times, optimize work methods, and improve labor utilization.
Adaptability and Flexibility - The capacity to respond quickly to changes in production demands, market conditions, and technological advancements.
Influence and Persuasion - The ability to present ideas and recommendations convincingly to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
