About Ocean Steel:

Incorporated in 1955, Ocean Steel services several markets, including Atlantic Canada, the Eastern United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Although they specialize in fabricating and erecting structural steel for buildings and bridges, they also manufacture and install platework, such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process & storage tanks and custom process-equipment. Ocean Steel\'s two New Brunswick plants include the original location in Saint John, as well as the York Steel Plant in Fredericton, which was acquired by Ocean Steel in 1995.

Position Overview:

Working with a small team of other electricians, the successful candidate will diagnose electrical problems and repair or replace defective equipment. They will troubleshoot and repair control circuit wiring, programmable logic controls (PLC\'s), and AC and DC drive problems on existing equipment. The team is responsible for installing new equipment and performing preventive maintenance on existing equipment.

The position will require the employee to work at heights and outdoors during all seasons.

This is a full time position that will require some overtime including, the occasional weekend to repair or install equipment when the plant is not operating. Travel to offsite locations in Saint john and Fredericton is required.

Requirements:

• MUST have strong working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC\'s;
• Completion of college/CEGEP/Vocation or Technical Training;
• Proven ability to read/update electrical blue print/diagrams;
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years working as an Industrial Electrician;
• Proven ability and experience completing electrical installation work;
• Proven mechanical and troubleshooting abilities;
