Information on the division:

Cambridge: This newly built facility (108,000 sq. ft.) is Heroux-Devtek's center of excellence for machining of B-777 large size landing gear components.

This position is based on a 40 hour per week schedule typically Monday through Friday but could flex based on business schedule. Additional/Overtime hours may be required based on business schedule.

Main responsibilities

Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems Examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components Performs preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and repairs on all electrical systems and equipment, instruments, control systems, drives, and lighting systems. Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance. Plans electrical projects by determining specifications, selecting contractors, establishing installation schedules, planning shutdowns and installations. Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work and various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area. Complies with established Environmental, Safety and Health programs and procedures. Adherence at all times to all Company policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Our ideal candidate:

Minimum Gr. 12 diploma Red Seal endorsement required - 442A Ticket - Industrial Electrician Additional construction electrician certification would be an asset Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The ability to wear the required PPE. Candidates must meet security screening requirements as set out by ITAR/CGRP directives. Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and tools as required
