About the Role
We are seeking a
Junior Industrial Designer, Industrial Engineer
or
Design Engineering Intern
for an
8 to 12 month co-op placement or internship
. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates in above mentioned studies or related
STEM programs
with experience in
CAD/CAM and programming
. You'll work closely with both our design and production teams to support the integration of
Autodesk Fusion
, enhance our
digital databases
, and contribute to
sustainability-driven product development
.
This is a
hands-on, multidisciplinary role
that blends physical product design with coding, process automation, and environmental impact tracking.

Key Responsibilities
Support
product development
and
digital prototyping
using Autodesk Fusion
Help implement
automated systems and scripts
to improve design file management, version control, and simulation workflows
Collaborate with the team to build and maintain our
digital materials and components database
Conduct
sustainability impact assessments
and issue internal certificates for projects
Organize data in Excel/Google Sheets and contribute to reporting
Qualifications & Skills
Experience with
Autodesk Fusion
, or similar CAD/CAM platforms
Knowledge of
Python, JavaScript
, or scripting in design environments is a strong asset
Comfortable working with both
design files
and
data systems
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Has an intuitive understanding of
Design for Manufacturing
to make data driven design decisions.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience with CNC equipment or digital fabrication
Familiarity with environmental product assessments, carbon footprint analysis or LCA tools
Knowledge of version-controlled file systems or databases
